Finding Your Way Through Loss
With Compassion, Clarity & Support
Grief changes us
It touches every corner of our lives, our routines, our relationships, and even how we see ourselves. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a significant life transition, or the closing of a meaningful chapter, grief can feel overwhelming and disorienting.
I understand this terrain deeply. I grew up in the mortuary business, surrounded by stories of loss and love. And in the past six years, I’ve walked through many of my own personal funerals. These experiences have profoundly shaped my heart and practice.
Today, I offer grief coaching as a dedicated space for you to be supported as you navigate life after loss.
What is Grief Coaching?
Future-Focused: Unlike grief counseling, which focuses on the past and unresolved emotions, Grief coaching looks toward the future, helping clients create a plan and take action to move forward.
Empowerment: A coach empowers you by providing tools, structure, and support to tap into your inner strength and navigate the transition into a new chapter of life.
Finding Meaning: The process involves discovering new meaning in life, adapting to changed circumstances, and integrating the loss into your life in a way that allows for joy and peace.
How Grief Coaching Can Help
Feeling “Stuck”: Coaching is particularly beneficial if you feel stuck in grief, lack direction, or struggle to move forward.
Shifting Mindsets: A coach helps you reframe negative or limiting mental narratives that may amplify sadness or helplessness.
Acceptance: The ultimate goal is to move toward a place of acceptance, where you can live with the loss and find joy again without being overwhelmed.
Actionable Steps: You’ll learn how to make informed choices and take small steps that lead to growth, helping you achieve your future aspirations.
Self-Compassion: Coaches encourage you to show yourself kindness and self-compassion, which are essential for moving forward positively.
Grief Coaching vs. Grief Counseling
Focus: Counseling focuses on past emotions and coping strategies; coaching focuses on future actions and personal growth.
Goal: Counseling helps clients process and cope with loss; coaching helps clients thrive and transform aspirations into reality.
When to Consider Grief Coaching
You feel a readiness for change and want to build a future beyond your loss actively. You want to go from just surviving to thriving. You want support in creating a new “normal” and a life that feels authentic to you.
